Our team combines knowledge of the Employee Assistance field with technology. We have been in the trenches marketing, implementing, and running Employee Assistance Programs. We have provided consultation to organizations wanting to implement EAPs all over the USA and throughout the world.


Michael Klaybor Ed.D., CEAP

Dr. Michael Klaybor maintains a thriving private practice specializing in employee assistance counseling and assessment, executive coaching, and mental health counseling.

Dr. Klaybor has used cutting edge technologies - including Skype – along with webcams, webinars, and blogs - to train Russian doctors, narcologists, and psychologists in substance abuse assessment and treatment, stress management, smoking cessation, wellness programs and setting up a call center, and training clinicians in the use of employee assistance. Currently, he is doing international employee assistance work in nine countries including Japan, Russia, South Africa, Germany, Tunisia, France, Russia, The Balkans and Iraq.

An Employee Assistance Professionals Association veteran, Dr. Klaybor is a past two term President of the Houston chapter of EAPA. Under his leadership, the Houston Chapter was recognized as the 2006 EAPA Chapter of the Year. In addition, the Chapter has mentored 35 Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) candidates using an innovative curriculum. He earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in counseling and psychology from Indiana University. Currently, he is serving as a Commissioner for the Employee Assistance Certification Commission (EACC).

Standards

EAP in a Box encourages any professional entering the field of employee assistance to become a member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association and work towards earning the Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) credential. We believe that EA professionals should have the opportunity to be credentialed and network with other like minded professionals.
